The recording studio houses a large and eclectic collection of musical instruments, including a Wurlitzer upright piano, an antique baby grand, a Lowrey Holiday Deluxe organ, two Rhodes electric pianos, Ludwig Vibraphones, a great old pump organ, a euphonium, a banjo, a Pearl acoustic drum kit, a bunch of strange percussive objects, a mandolin, various acoustic and electric guitars and a selection of amps from Fender, Ampeg and others.

On the digital-instrument side of things we have a GigaSampler workstation along with hardware/software synths from Korg, Roland, E-mu, Native Instruments and Propellerheads. Our sample library includes major titles such as the complete Vienna Symphonic Library & Horizon series.

The heart of the Tin Drum recording and editing facilities is an Apple G5 computer running a ProTools HD-3 digital recording system monitored through ADAM S2.5a and Tannoy monitors, augmented by a diverse collection of third-party plug-in processors from companies like URS, EMI, McDsp, Waves and Sony.

We record with some of the worlds finest microphones from companies such as Soundelux, Royer, AKG, Electro-Voice, Groove Tubes and Sennheiser. Our collection of outboard gear includes items from Manley, Great River, Focusrite, and Empirical Labs. We've also collected a bunch of neat tube-gear and other cool devices that help to shape Tin Drum's original sound.
